Our Cardiac Surgery team provides an interdisciplinary approach to patients with heart ailments, from admission to discharge. In the recovery phase, physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists and techs are united in the goal of providing efficient and knowledgeable care to our patients. Although surgery is a frequent solution to heart ailments, our Cardiology Program works carefully, to determine if a problem can be resolved or health risk can be averted in a non-invasive manner. Our Cardiology Program consists of a network of non-invasive and interventional cardiologists, in practices located throughout the metropolitan area.
We employ electrophysiologists and echocardiographers to work with radiologists and specialists in nuclear cardiology, to evaluate patients correctly and thoroughly. Specialized cardiologists then implement the optimal level of treatment. Last year, the Hospital Center performed more than 14,900 cardiac catheterizations and more than 5,300 electrophysiology procedures.
