Donita Fleming, PT, MHA, FACHE

Vice President, Professional and Support Services

Donita Fleming, PT, MHA, FACHE, has joined MedStar Washington Hospital Center as vice president for Professional and Support Services. 

Fleming comes to the Hospital Center with 15 years experience managing clinical and hospital operations. She will supervise daily operations of Biomedical Engineering, Environmental Services, Food and Nutrition Services, Laboratory, Life Safety, Lobby Shop, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Cardiac Rehabilitation, Parking, Patient & Guest Services/Patient Advocates, Protective Services, Radiation Safety and Respiratory Therapy. 

Most recently, Fleming served as vice president of Operations with Mission Health System in Asheville, N.C., a health system comprising more than 800 beds and four member community hospitals. There, she was responsible for the leadership of ancillary and support services. 

Fleming is a cum laude graduate of The Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and physical therapy, and is a magna cum laude graduate of the Texas Woman’s University with a master’s degree in healthcare administration.

She is a licensed physical therapist, and a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
